Special Projects

Nidbach

Inaugurated in 1992, Nidbach is a special project offering exposure to young artists who completed their studies in the past five years and have not yet had a solo exhibition. Each year we approach Department Heads at art schools throughout the country; they in turn provide us with a list of artist-teachers who will curate Nidbach that year. The selected artist-teacher-curator chooses the graduate who will exhibit his or her work.

We do not accept applications from either artists or curators for participation in this project.

The Biennale for Drawing in Israel

The Biennale for Drawing in Israel, initiated by the Jerusalem Artists’ House in 2001 as a national project, embraces the public galleries in the center of Jerusalem.

The theme of the Biennale is announced in a call for submissions issued in the press about a year before the opening of the exhibition. The call for submissions and all application instructions are also posted on the website.

The Osnat Mozes Prize for Young Artists

Each year, the Mozes family, in conjunction with the Jerusalem Artists’ House, awards the Osnat Mozes Prize for Young Artists to an artist under the age of 36. The winner is granted NIS 10,000, in addition to a solo exhibition at the Artists’ House.

Each year during the month of March we issue a call for submissions, advertised in the press. Application forms may thereafter be downloaded from the website.

The Miron Sima Visual Arts Award

The Miron Sima Visual Arts Award is presented once every two years by the Miron Sima Foundation in conjunction with the Jerusalem Artists’ House. The winner is granted NIS 20,000, in addition to a solo exhibition at the Artists’ House.

The prize is awarded each time in a different medium, as advertised in the call for submissions issued every two years around the month of June. Application forms may thereafter be downloaded from the website.
