About the artist

Born in Kaunas, Lithuania
Immigrated as a child to Israel (1935) where she was brought up and educated.
Spent many years abroad (accompanying her husband who was in the Foreign Service).
Studied art and French literature at the Institue of the Sorbonne (IPFE) in Paris (1958-60).
Studied painting with various teachers in Jerusalem (Gafni, Berlinski, Bacon) (1970-74 and at the Avni Institue for Paiting and Sculpture in Jaffa (class of Shtreichman) (1975-77)
